A development-first environment
St. Clair Shores is built for players who want real development. Too many clubs talk about elite exposure and meaningful games, then abandon the game model the moment pressure arrives. We take a different approach with a clear possession-based identity and a long-term standard for growth.
This is not a casual rec environment. It is a training hub for players and families who value structure, accountability, and intelligent soccer.
Possession identity
Players are taught to build from the back, control midfield spaces, and press quickly after losing the ball. Every age group works from the same 4-3-3 framework.
Deliberate repetition
We do not chase endless trendy drills. We repeat core activities with purpose so players can execute fundamentals cleanly under match pressure.

Tryout Notes
What to expect on tryout day
- Pre-register online before arrival
- Arrive at least 20 minutes early for check-in
- Wear shin guards and cleats
- Bring a labeled soccer ball and water
Digital evaluation process
Our staff uses digital performance tracking during tryouts to record technical ratings, tactical notes, and work ethic observations in real time. This helps create a more organized and consistent evaluation process for every player.
Pre-registration links each player to the evaluation system, helping our coaches review information efficiently and communicate roster decisions as quickly as possible after tryout weekend.
